Garry Adams

Married to Helen, I have 2 children & 2 Grandchildren. 

Career in engineering working for the same international company for over 44 years in several roles from 
Machine tool fitter, CNC Programmer Trainer, Assessor.

Manager of prototype department also working around the world supporting sister companies training personnel and commissioning new plant and equipment before taking early retirement in 2021. 

I have been a member of Hearsall golf club since 2006, 
I became a member of the board as members rep in 2018 before becoming house director in 2020 and was Honoured to become Club Captain in 2021.

I sit on several sub committees supporting fellow directors besides my House committee which I chair meetings and support team planning events. 
I am very approachable and will listen to members concerns and will report back to board or members on outcome.

Lesley Duff

I have been a member of Hearsall since September 2006, when i started playing golf.

I am originally from Northern Ireland and have lived in Coventry since 1973 when I came to the University of Warwick to take my law degree. I worked as a solicitor for many years before finally retiring in 2015.

Within the Club, I became a member of the ladies committee and was privileged to be Lady Captain in 2014/15. I have been a member of the Board since 2015, responsible for H/R, Legal and Policies. I am also the Club’s Welfare Officer.

I have been the Secretary of Warwickshire Ladies County Golf Association since 2016 and am also part of the ECHO team (the local community newspaper for the Earlsdon area).

I’m married to Peter, a retired machine tool engineer, and our daughter Charlotte is a cordwainer, specialising in uppers, and a foot health practitioner in Sheffield.

Finance  

James Holdsworth

I worked for 16 years at E.ON UK Plc  having joined after finishing my degree at Coventry  University, i worked my way up through several departments within the group,  finally working as a Finance Business Partner for our internal businesses and Central Finance department.

I have my accounting practice with varied clients ranging from to sole traders to limited companies.

I am widowed and have three wonderful stepchildren and eight fabulous grandchildren. My granddaughter is a keen golfer and joined last year as a member and is currently having lessons with Mike Tarn.

I’ve played golf on and off, some would say badly for about 25 years but since my granddaughter is showing signs of being a fast improver in the sport, I'm determined to improve so I can at least bridge the gap for a few years (probably months...!!!) 

I’m a member of Coventry Rotary Club and who have regular monthly meetings and occasionally dine at Coventry Hearsall Golf Club.

I'm very passionate about philanthropy and helping those who need help.

Golf  

Nigel Poole

Married to Anita, with 2 children & 5 Grandchildren,

retired after working in a variety of financial roles mainly with NatWest.

I have been a member of Coventry Hearsall since 2002 and have had the privilege of being Captain in 2010, and President. I have served on the board since 2008 in a variety of roles.

Since 2020 I have served as Competitions’ Director and this has included our transition to using IG, and I am also our Handicap Secretary. I am very conversant with WHS and chair the Joint Handicap Committee.

I took over the responsibility for Course matters when the previous director stood down, and in the new role, I will enjoy working closely with our Chris Low, our Course Manager and intend to fully utilise the knowledge and expertise of the committee members for both Course and Competitions to ensure that we continue to operate and develop successfully in these two key areas.
