“Final Putt for Glory: Order of Merit Races Go Down to the Wire”

Men's Board’s Order of Merit

We’re heading into the final stretch of the season, and the Board’s Order of Merit is down to just three contenders. With only the President’s Putter left to play and the Hearsall Cup all but wrapped up, the stage is set for a thrilling finale.

At the top of the leaderboard, Keith Finch is sitting pretty on 405 points, holding a commanding advantage. Chasing him down, Dean Watts sits in second on 310 points, with Niall Scott just behind on 300 – both hoping Keith leaves the door open in the final showdown.

But if the Board’s race looks decided, the Midweek Order of Merit is a different story altogether – this one’s tighter than a new grip on a driver. With two events still to play, the first teeing off this Thursday, it’s anyone’s game:

David Acton leads the pack with 260 points, but it’s far from comfortable.

Nick Hunisett is breathing down his neck on 250.

John G Salmon is right there on 240.

Matthew Bevan lurks just 10 points further back on 230.

Four players separated by just 30 points – and they’ve left the rest trailing in their wake. Five players sit tied for fifth on 150 points – Martin Walsh, Phil Roberts, Garry Adams, Michael Johnson, and Adam Strumidlo – but they’ll need something special to break into the leading pack.

The question is: who will hold their nerve, and who will blink first?

Full tables are now up in the men’s locker room.

Cheers,
John
