Seniors Unbeaten Start Continues  

The Seniors hosted Kings Norton on Friday 26th April. 

Captain Paul Skinner led the team against a strong side. 

Wins for Peter Martin/Jez Tiff, Trevor Williams/ Tom Healey and Dave Allison/John Dunbar ensured a 3 – 3 draw. 

A sumptuous meal of chicken supreme followed by Tart citron with raspberries was excellent! Thanks to Monica, Anna, Elina and all the staff for looking after us so well. 

On Thursday 2nd May the Seniors went to Solihull to play at the beautiful course of Olton, which was in superb condition. A course where green fees are £90 it cost the Seniors £25 with a two course lunch. 

With a lot of long par 4’s 400 yards plus, we have struggled there in the past but the team put in an excellent performance. 

Captain for the day Trevor Williams abley assisted by Mick Graham led the way quickly followed by good wins Jez Tiff / Kev Healey, Peter Martin/Tony Breedon and Dave Allison/Jim Griffiths with a half from Bob Cox/Richard Overton it provided a magnificent 4.5 to 1.5 victory. 

With tough away trips to Kings Norton and Kenilworth coming up it will be hard to continue the unbeaten run.
