Hearsall Seniors off to winning start.

Finally the clouds parted, the rain stopped, the wind ceased and the sun shone just a little.

After months of rain and no golf our Seniors first match of the season proved to be a pleasure. Despite the months of incessant rain the course at Finham Park played very well. 

Vice Captain Martin Walsh and playing partner Dave Brownbill set the tone with a solid performance, eventually winning 3&1 

The next 3 matches were halved before John Dunbar and Tony Breedon and Bob Cox and Graham Ritchie bought home more victories.

A special mention must go to Kevin Bignall who made his debut appearance for the Seniors Team. Well done Kevin.

An enjoyable meal followed by some very short speeches bought a splendid day to an end.

This was then followed by the first home match an impressive win against North Warks.

Seniors Captain Paul Skinner and John O’Sullivan lead the way with the first win quickly followed by wins for Sim Connor/ Tony Breedon, Trevor Williams/Kev Healey and Mick Graham/ Bob Cox to cement a 4 to 2 victory.

This was followed by a delicious meal, thanks to Monica, Anna, Elina and all the staff for making it a great day.
